Flowering trees, vases and great leafy sprays fill this red field in the manner of a Persian Kerman garden carpet, gathered around a central lattice medallion and framed by camel-beige spandrels. Two navy floral borders — one broad, one narrow — hold the composition together with real formality. This vintage rug was hand-knotted in Turkey from 100% wool and measures a grand 8'5" x 12'5" (257 x 378 cm). The palette runs rich red, navy blue, ivory beige, soft gold, faded rose and slate — stately colors that suit formal living rooms, dining rooms and large entryways. In excellent vintage condition, it is a collector-grade piece with the durability to live on the floor, not the wall.
